PARENTING IN THE 21ST CENTURY

Life in the 21st century is generally easier than what our forebears had to deal with. We have all sorts of technological innovations to ease our work, the world is now truly a global village and there's easy access to information at our fingertips. ACKCENTS EVERYWHERE !

On my way home from work one day it started raining heavily and so I had to wait till the rain subsided.I took shelter in a building and standing beside me on the phone was a man giving someone directions and urging the person to wait for him. A GOD-FEARING MAN

When a lot of Nigerian ladies(this I'm sure of) are asked what kind of man they want to spend the rest  of their lives with you'll hear different things but you can almost bet you'll hear "a God-fearing man". HOW LONG TILL THE PRIVACY OF YOUR UTERUS IS INVADED?

Just writing this makes me want to laugh out loud. Honestly, women have suffered.Once you get to a certain age/stage in life, usually final year in school to post NYSC, your mum and her friends start asking you if you've caught any 'Bobo'. In my case, it was my mum's friends and  aunties that did the asking/harassing. I always wondered where river bobo is though. I mean, the way they 'tease' you about when you'll invite them to wear aso-ebi, you just have to wonder if there's a market where you can go to purchase a man or a river to go husband fishing.

NEW YEAR, NEW BEGINNINGS.

Hello Everyone,

Happy 2015 to you all( its not too late right, especially as this is the first official post for this year).
*singing* I gotta feeling that this year's gonna be a good year,....a good, good year. Be thankful you all can't hear me...lol. Sugar, my hubby says I have a croaky voice . I say its husky and sexy.

WELCOME TO OUR BLOG

We finally did it!!! After weeks of preparation and wondering if people would want to read what we have say, we decided to just go ahead and do it anyway. There are two of us running this blog and we intend to share with you our life experiences as candidly as possible, as well as our view on things happening around us. We will chronicle the daily events in our lives, things we find interesting around us and we do hope you find it captivating enough to keep coming back. We intend for this to be a safe place for everyone to air their views without fear of judgement as we grow to become a family. Have a fantastic week ahead and we would love to hear from you.
